In this episode I’m working a beautiful Rocky Mountain Juniper with an incredible trunk . hello everyone welcome to my youtube channel i’m just back from uh a week in brazil london this morning at six o’clock in chicago and here i am eight o’clock with a nice and beautiful rocky mountain juniper from my friend hector collection so today i’m gonna give the first time to this tree the tree has a lot of character beautiful that good very old tree very compact foliage a lot of branches to the side so i’m gonna start cleaning the live line and then a little bit to the foliage and then i will start making decisions about the style the angle and the future of this drink let’s see how it comes out three both sides [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] so now that i took my time and do all the cleaning especially on the live line and all the vegetation coming at the same point because rocky mountain like most of the tripper from america also sabina in europe they tend to grow in the same spots and they make a mess so we need to clean that mess and wholly keep the branches the little branches that has a lot of strength that on the first shaping will be the one we use to create the structure of the tree fortunately on this tree we have a lot of good and long foliage with a lot of energy that i will be using to create the shape of my future so i don’t like much the position of the trees now because the central part of the trunk is very horizontal so there are two projects that i can pick one is putting the tree down creating like a cascade and using these brands as a lower brancher and try to create an apex around this area the other project is lifting up the tree verticalize all the attention on on the main focus point that is this part of the tray can also in the meantime a better nebari because the buddha here can be touching the new soil level and create a nicer and stronger vase and then create a more vertical tree up on itself and kind of an elegant bungee so now the tree is set in the new position we have a batter in the body the tree is going to go up and we focus in the focal point that is the central part of the tree we have nice and flexible branches that i can use to rebuild the apex probably higher than the curve here and then come inside of the loop with some nice foliage i create my first branch and some also side branch i’m gonna remove engine these long branches it is very distracting and also probably a back one that is very longer i’m gonna shorten these uh section here that is data and he’s very also distracting and creating an ugly line so this would be a short g clean this vein and then set the new bones of the future bonsai [Music] [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so now all the wiring is done the next step will be pushing up the branch that i protected i have all these side branches that i have to move and do the major band to lift up all the green in this position and from that point i can start shaping the lower pad up to the top [Music] so now that i set the first pad to the right i get the idea i will be the triangle on my tree and the exact position of the apexer i want also to bend this chin that was a live branch originally so it’s still flexible because there is a lot of sap in the wood so what i’m gonna do i’m gonna click the sleeper the the buddha in two parts like this so doing that i make the wood more flexible and now i can create an anchor in this position with a screw have a guy wire and blend up this one opening the fiber of the wood so this is going to create a nice gene in this position ah [Music] [Music] and here we are at the end of the worker all the pads are framing the beautiful waiver and focusing on the different parts i put this uh piece of wood to understand how will be the level of the soil on the next robot so the base will improve i have a nice empty space with this jenna and some branches to create the depth of the tree this is very important the movement of this chin up here to create a little bit dynamism at the end of this wave and probably in the future the top will grow a little bit higher to have a little bit more elegance and limiting a little bit more distance from the first pad but for the moment i’m pretty happy for uh how i was able to reach the styling now the tree has to grow become nice and strong and remember if you can dream it you can do it [Music] thank you so much for watching this video i hope you like it and if you want to know more about my work send me an email to get my bonsai book bonsai dream thank you both sides three three
